The Dormant Accounts Fund is a scheme for the disbursement of unclaimed funds from accounts in credit institutions in Ireland. The fund is administered under the 2001 Dormant Accounts Act, together with the Unclaimed Life Assurance Policies Act 2003 and the Dormant Accounts (Amendment) Act 2012 and is under the statutory function of the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs from July 2016.
New call for applications under DAF
Pobal, on behalf of the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, the Department of Justice and Equality and the Department of Social Protection invite applications for funding from eligible organisations under the following Dormant Accounts Fund (DAF) Measures.
Measure 2: Life after caring
Measure 4: Pre-activation support for female Refugees
The closing date for receipt of applications is 3pm on Wednesday 26th July 2017.

€1.648 million in funding from the Dormant Accounts Fund allocated to 42 social enterprise projects
Michael Ring, T.D., Minister for State for Regional Economic Development announced the allocation of €1.648 million in funding from the Dormant Accounts Fund to 42 social enterprise projects across the country. The allocations follow a competitive call for proposals from social enterprises that provide services to, or employment opportunities for, disadvantaged people, particularly in rural areas.
