The Equality for Women Measure is currently closed for applicaitons.
The Equality for Women Measure works towards gender equality in accordance with the National Women’s Strategy 2007-2016. It is an initiative of the Department of Justice and Equality and is managed by the Department and Pobal. The measure is part-financed by the European Social Fund under the Human Capital Investment Operational Programme 2007-2013.
The Equality for Women Measure funds projects that:
Improve women’s access to education, training and personal development in preparation for employment
Support women who are undertaking entrepreneurial activity
Support women’s advancement in their employment, including into decision-making roles
The Equality for Women Measure has been operating since 2010 and has provided funding to a total of 42 projects. Projects receive funding of up to €50,000 per year for one or more years.
Currently, there are 23 projects funded in the area of access to employment. The projects will be operational until April 2014.
