Pobal are delighted to have received the award for ‘Best Use of Technology’ at The National Procurement Awards 2018, which took place on Thursday 15th November 2018 in the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin.

The ‘Best Use of Technology’ category was sponsored by the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management. Pobal were shortlisted alongside the Education Procurement Service in this category and were announced as the winner during the national awards ceremony.

The award was given in recognition of Pobal’s utilization of technology to transform its procurement process from paper based into a fully electronic platform. The work was a cross collaboration between Pobal’s Corporate Services Unit and Financial Operations.

Now in its ninth year, The National Procurement Awards ensure leaders in the industry are recognised for their diligence over the past 12 months. The Awards champion the work being done throughout the private and public sector.

Pobal was presented with the award by Sean O Dwyer, President of Irish Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management.
